Notes from the Director:
Dear Studio:

Wow, tempi fugit. Another year of musical growth & fun!

I am grateful, happy & proud to have been able to bring self-confidence, self-esteem & self-expression to all of your families through our extraordinary faculty. Thank you to the parents for your trust and support, thank you to the teachers for your gifts & generosity & thank you to the students for your inspiration & talents.

With everything else that is going on at this busy season, thank you for your commitment to finish this academic year with us strongly.

Look for the KPMS newsletters with news about the fall in July & August. And we wish everyone a happy & adventurous Summer.

KPMS students set a high bar at NYSSMA:

This year KPMS sent several students to the New York State Music Educator’s Association, Spring Adjudication Festival. We came back with incredible marks. Stephanie Corvino scored a 98 out of 100 singing Mozart’s Batti, Batti aria from Don Giovanni. Jason Unger & Jessica Kaufman both scored 26 out of 28 singing Frank Wildhorn’s, If Someone like You from Jekyll & Hyde, and Castle on a Cloud from Les Mis. Congratulations to all who participated.
Fall Registration:

In an effort to ease the Fall craziness, give the most people the maximum opportunity to get their choice of day, time & teacher & serve you the customers to the best of our abilities, we are beginning Fall registration immediately. The Fall semester begins
Wednesday, September 5.

Please contact your teacher with your request of day & time, even if you are not sure. We recognize that there are many other activities to plan, so please set up the lessons to have them on the books.

Since we work on a 1st come 1st serve basis, we cannot guarantee prime placement for registrations after June 23.

Summer Session 2007:
The KPMS Spring semester ends Friday, June 23. The summer semester begins officially on Monday, June 26. We will run through Labor Day for those interested in getting a jump on music during the summer months. Students can sign-up for the whole semester, in-between camps and vacations & even for 2 weeks at a time. We will be offering guest artists as well as some of our faculty. Speak with your teacher about your plans, so that you can get on the schedule.

Maybe even pick up that other instrument that they’ve been waiting of more time to study.
